Hailing from Thimphu, the Capital of Bhutan, now based in Perth WA, Flying Kik is a four-piece band blending reggae, rock, and metal into a powerful, unmistakable sound. Formed in 2017, the band has spent years crafting music that combines infectious melodies, driving rhythms, heavy guitar riffs, and honest storytelling, earning a reputation for energetic live performances that leave a lasting impression.

 

Drawing inspiration from their Bhutanese roots and a wide range of musical influences, Flying Kik creates songs that explore themes of identity, resilience, hope, and the realities of modern life. Their music bridges cultures and genres, balancing reggae grooves with rock energy and metal intensity while remaining authentic to who they are.

 

In 2023, Flying Kik released their debut album, Almost Famous, featuring standout tracks including Cool My Eyes and N.W.N.H. The album introduced the band’s signature sound and established them as one of Bhutan’s most exciting emerging acts.

Over the years, Flying Kik has performed at major festivals and concerts across Bhutan, India, and Australia, sharing stages with renowned artists and building a loyal following through their explosive live shows. Their festival appearances include the Ziro Festival of Music, Siang River Festival, New Wave Music Festival, Mumbai Punk Rock Festival, and Perth Powerhouse Festival. 

 

Now entering a new chapter from their home base in Perth, Flying Kik continues to push creative boundaries while staying true to the spirit that brought them together. With fresh music, renewed energy, and a passion for connecting people through live performance, the band is bringing its Himalayan roots and genre-defying sound to audiences across Australia and beyond.
